Recognition Day is an annual occasion where students are awarded for their hard work,perseverance and determination. This year, Recognition Day was held on 27 July 2019 to reward the achievers of the academic year 2018-19. The event was graced by the School management, Development Advisor, Ms. Susan Thomas, Headmistress Ms.Rajika Dixit, PTA representatives and the proud parents of the awardees.
The Foundation School recognises every aspect of learning- be it academic, co-curricular or sport. The aim is to recognise excellence in an environment that encourages positive outcomes for all students in every sphere of learning. It paves the way for under-achievers to strive harder, lending a healthy atmosphere of competition amongst the students to do their best.
The event commenced with the melodious rendition of the song “Aashayein” by class 3 and 4 students. Headmistress Rajika Dixit addressed the parents and congratulated them for their support and encouragement of their wards.
The much-awaited prizes for classes Pre-school to VII for the session 2018-19 were announced classwise. Certificates were awarded for various categories, namely, All Rounder, Scholastic Achievement, Co-curricular Achievements like music, sport,aerobics, dance, skating, art, etc. The anticipation on the faces of the young achievers was evident as they walked up on the stage confidently and in pride to receive
their much deserved awards.
This year, Sayyed Md. Aliuddin of class 4 received a special scholarship for the accolade he brought to School by his win at the Delhi State Asian National Judo Championship. Also, our young Environment Ambassadors, Aryan Panda and Shaurya Chakravarty were recognised for being named winners of the“#1MinuteSDGscampaign” by SDGs for Children.
The programme concluded with the School song. The joyous parents too sang along in their affectionate identification. It was indeed a special occasion for all the awardees,parents and teachers.
