To observe Republic Day and to remember the valuable contributions made by our leaders and the students of class 4C, presented a special assembly on the legends of Indian history on 12th January 2018.

With the objective of instilling in our students a feeling of patriotism and values of a good citizen, a special assembly was conducted by class 5 on 25th January, 2018 to observe India’s 69th Republic Day.

The audience was welcomed by Divyansh of class VI who spoke about the significance of the day. He reminded his peers in the audience about the sacrifices made to build the nation. The class choir captivated the audience with a medley of patriotic songs. Everyone in the audience joined in, infusing the hall with hues of patriotism.

Students of classes V and VI presented a street play based on the rights and duties of every citizen including the important duty of spreading Gandhiji’s message of love and non violence. Aspects of these core values were exhibited in the play. The children took a pledge to be good citizens and above all good human beings.

The presentation was widely appreciated and applauded by all those present.

In a discussion post the assembly, students, prompted by their teachers, reflected upon the deeper significance of the day, that is, what comprises a personal commitment to becoming a responsible future citizen.
