Reading gives us someplace to go when we have to stay where we are! Students of The Foundation School observed International Book Lover's Day on 10th August, 2020.
Reading is an invaluable tool for children learning the language.

A variety of activities were designed for the students across the levels. Pre primary crafted colourful bookmarks integrating Art and Language. Class 1 engaged in an audio video story telling session by their teachers. Class 2 participated in an exercise to describe their favourite character from a book they love.

Class 3 celebrated their day effectively by penning down why they love to read. Class 4 added sparkle to the occasion presenting by speaking like their favourite story character. Class 5 created alluring short videos and also shared  pictures of their personal ‘Wisdom Corners' which offered their peers a taste of fantasy, entreating them to the world of reading. 

Class 7 students organised a delightful session for their younger peers of class 2.The interactive session was filled with novel insights from timeless tales.

Lastly, students of class 8 focused on prioritising the moral codes of keeping bookshelves and the library clean and systematically preserved. abode of books clean. They discussed in a debate how hard copies are losing their importance in the virtual and sustainable world. The elucidation of their thoughts was accompanied by pictures and blogs.

“A book is a gift you can open again and again and still be glittered by its powers", goes a popular quote. Our young Foundationeers discovered for themselves how true this is.
